Remanence Studios is an independent slot studio with original games across multiple mechanics.

I design and build every part of a slot game: the math model, the RTP and volatility tuning, the bonus mechanics, the animation and the client code.
Every title's math is validated in Python against the shipped engine rather than against a spreadsheet, with Monte Carlo runs into the tens of millions of spins. The RTP published on each game page describes the game a player actually spins, not a model of it.
Five titles are live and playable here. I work out of the Philadelphia area and hold a B.S. in Cyber Security Analytics and Operations from Penn State.
Development is AI-assisted throughout. I direct the implementation and the animation, and verify the math myself.
What Encore is
Encore is the studio's signature feature, carried by select titles rather than every game. On every spin of an Encore game, certain symbols stay in place for the next spin. They hold the same grid position, the same symbol, the same tier, at full value. Nothing is downgraded and nothing is moved.
An encore persists for exactly one following spin, then releases unless it re-qualifies. It is a one-spin promise, resolved every spin, not an open-ended accumulation that has to be capped or bought out.
Encore probability scales inversely with symbol value. Low tiers return often, top tiers rarely, and that inverse relationship is what keeps the format from drifting into top-heavy variance as the grid fills.
The result reads clearly at the cabinet and on a phone: the player can see what is being kept before the reels move, so the next spin is already partly known. That legibility is the product.
On an Encore title, symbols hold their place from one spin into the next.

How the math is built
Every model is simulated in-house before any art is made. Reel strips, qualification rates and feature entry are tuned against full-model runs, not against a theoretical calculation, so the published RTP, hit frequency and volatility figures come out of the same simulation the game ships against.
Volatility is reported as a sigma value alongside a band, not as a band alone. Two games described as high volatility can behave very differently, and a partner sizing a lobby needs the number.
There is no lab certification. Everything on this site is free-play only. The client is RGS-agnostic and the integration document and full math model are available on request.
